Lincoln Introduces Special Edition Navigator “Black Gold” in China

Lincoln, the luxury vehicle division of Ford Motor Company, has unveiled a new special edition of its popular Navigator SUV in China. The “Black Gold” edition aims to make the full-size SUV even more desirable for Chinese customers. In addition to this special edition, Lincoln has also announced reduced prices for both the Aviator and the Navigator in response to the challenging market environment in China.

The Black Gold edition is positioned below the limited-production Navigator One flagship trim. It features a longer bodystyle, measuring 5,657 mm (222.7 inches), and offers a 7-seater layout (2+2+3). The exterior of the Black Gold edition is characterized by a bi-tone livery with black and gold shades, as well as a knight emblem on the C-pillar. The emblem is also projected from the puddle lights, along with “Lincoln Motor Company Special Edition” lettering. The grille, matrix LED headlights, and turbine-inspired 22-inch alloy wheels are shared with the Presidential Edition trim.

Inside the Black Gold edition, customers can opt for Manhattan-inspired engraving on the solid wood veneer and a beautiful Gulf Blue shade for the Venetian leather upholstery. The front seats offer 30-way electric adjustments and 5 different massage functions for maximum comfort. The independent captain chairs on the second row also benefit from heating, ventilation, and massaging functions, which can be controlled via a dedicated 5.8-inch touchscreen on the armrest. The SUV is equipped with a 28-speaker Revel Ultima audio system and the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 2.0 ADAS suite, which offers Level 2+ autonomous capability.

Under the hood, the Black Gold Edition retains the same twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine found in the rest of the Navigator range. This powerful engine produces 410 horsepower (305 kW / 415 PS) and 670 Nm of torque in the Chinese-spec model. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox, assisted by an electronic limited-slip differential on the rear axle. The SUV also features adaptive suspension with a predictive function for a smooth and comfortable ride.

In addition to introducing the Navigator Black Gold Edition, Lincoln has also announced a price reduction for its two flagship SUVs in China. The Lincoln Navigator now has a price range of 1,008,000-1,258,000 Chinese yuan ($137,556-171,673), while the smaller Aviator is priced between 500,800-763,800 Chinese yuan ($68,342-104,232). The prices for the rest of Lincoln’s Chinese model range, including the Z sedan, the Nautilus, and Corsair SUVs, remain unchanged.

The introduction of the Black Gold edition and the price reduction for the Aviator and Navigator demonstrate Lincoln’s commitment to the Chinese market. By offering special editions and adjusting prices to suit the market conditions, Lincoln aims to attract more customers and increase its market share in China.

Overall, the Navigator Black Gold Edition combines luxury, style, and performance to create a truly desirable SUV for Chinese customers. With its unique design elements, premium features, and reduced prices for the Aviator and Navigator, Lincoln is positioning itself as a strong contender in the luxury SUV segment in China.
