However, a software logic flaw has caused this mechanism to activate while the vehicle is in motion, posing a risk of power loss and potential accidents.

Incidents and Solutions

Lucid has observed ten instances of unexpected power loss while driving, prompting the recall. To rectify this issue, the company has developed a new software logic that prevents the High Voltage Interlock from engaging while the vehicle is in drive or reverse. An over-the-air update has been rolled out since June 24 to address this concern.
