Mercedes-AMG Unveils Formula 1-Inspired GT Motorsport Collectors Edition
Racing Livery and Optional Kit Included
Mercedes-AMG has introduced a special edition of the GT model, inspired by Formula 1. This limited-run Motorsport Collectors Edition is based on the track-focused AMG GT 63 Pro and features a livery that replicates the design of the brand’s W14 and W15 F1 cars from the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The car is adorned with Obsidian Black metallic paint, hand-painted Mercedes stars, and contrasting stripes in the aqua blue color of title sponsor Petronas.
Aqua Blue Accents
The aqua blue color, representing Petronas, can be found throughout the car. It is featured on the skirting, shoulder line, 21-inch wheels, and brake calipers. This color scheme adds a touch of F1-inspired style to the GT Motorsport Collectors Edition.
AMG Night Package and Additional Features
The Motorsport Collectors Edition also includes the AMG Night Package, which transforms the chrome elements of the standard car, such as the radiator grille and Mercedes star badges, into black. Additionally, the car comes with a panoramic glass roof and fixed rear spoiler, which are optional extras on the standard GT model. These features enhance the overall aesthetic of the car.
Luxurious Interior
Inside the GT Motorsport Collectors Edition, the seats are finished in black nappa leather and microfibre cloth, with stitching in Petronas’s aqua blue color. The door sills are also lit in this distinctive color. To complement the exclusive design, each of the 200 examples of this special edition car will come with a matching indoor car cover.
Pricing and Availability
Mercedes has not yet announced the pricing for the GT Motorsport Collectors Edition. However, it is expected to be significantly higher than the £180,905 price tag of the fully loaded Launch Edition of the GT 63. This special edition follows the P One Edition of the previous-generation AMG GT, which also featured an F1-inspired livery. The Motorsport Collectors Edition is limited in production and is likely to be highly sought after by enthusiasts.
