Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid: 603 HP Electrified Muscle | Giga Gears

Introducing the Mercedes-AMG E53 Hybrid 4Matic+

Overview

Mercedes has recently unveiled the latest performance-focused version of the E-Class W214 developed by AMG. The E53 Hybrid 4Matic+ is available in both sedan and estate bodystyles, featuring a more aggressive design, enhanced chassis setup, and a powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain capable of delivering up to 603 hp (450 kW / 612 PS).

Enhanced Performance

Despite being positioned below the upcoming E63 performance flagship, the E53 offers a significant improvement in power and performance compared to its predecessor. The plug-in hybrid system combines a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with a single electric motor, producing 577 hp (430 kW / 585 PS) or up to 603 hp (450 kW / 612 PS) with the Race Start mode engaged. This enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds.
