The MINI Countryman, which is technically the largest MINI ever produced, is receiving an exciting upgrade in terms of power and design. This SUV is now equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that delivers an impressive 312 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and a standard all-wheel-drive system, the John Cooper Works Countryman can accelerate from 0 to highway speeds in just over 5 seconds. Although it offers slightly more horsepower than previous models, it has slightly less torque.

The company is proud to highlight the “engine sound generated in real time” and the “exclusive JCW sound extension,” suggesting that the cabin is filled with an exhilarating artificial engine noise.

In terms of size, the new John Cooper Works Countryman has grown larger and is now classified as an SUV in the United States. It features a longer wheelbase and increased height, while maintaining a reduced coefficient of drag from 0.31 to 0.26. The interior offers ample cargo space, with 16.2 cubic feet available with the rear seats up and 51.2 cubic feet with the seats folded down.

The interior of the John Cooper Works Countryman boasts a high-resolution central OLED screen that serves as the control center for all the car’s functions. The SUV design is emphasized by vertical door handles and air vents, while the red and black color scheme pays homage to MINI’s racing heritage. The dash surface features a two-tone textile made from recycled polyester, adding a touch of sustainability to the vehicle.
