2025 Dodge Attitude: A New Era for Dodge in Mexico

Dodge is Set to Introduce the All-New 2025 Attitude in Mexico

  • The previous Attitude was a rebadged Mitsubishi Mirage, but the new model is a Dodge-ified version of the GAC / Trumpchi Empow.
  • The car is expected to debut soon and may be equipped with a 1.5-liter engine producing 168 horsepower.

Dodge’s Mexican lineup has taken an interesting turn, with their best-selling vehicle being a Chinese import and the Attitude being a rebadged Mitsubishi Mirage. However, with the Mirage’s future uncertain, Dodge needed to make a change.

The 2025 Attitude finally lives up to its name with its aggressive design. Teaser images reveal a modern-day Mitsubishi Lancer-inspired look, featuring sleek headlights, a large grille with a black horizontal bar, muscular intakes, and distinctive Dodge badging.

While the design may appear dated, the new Attitude is not a Mitsubishi. In fact, it is a rebadged GAC / Trumpchi Empow, as confirmed by images from Mexico. This comes as no surprise, considering the Mexican Journey is also a Dodge-ified version of the GAC / Trumpchi GS5.

Although Dodge has not released many details about the 2025 Attitude, the Empow model offers LED headlights and 16- to 18-inch alloy wheels. In terms of size, the Attitude measures 185 inches (4,700 mm) in length and has a wheelbase of 107.7 inches (2,736 mm), making it slightly larger than the discontinued Dart.

Inside the Attitude, drivers can expect a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment system. The car is also likely to offer various driver assistance systems, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Traffic Jam Assistance, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, and traffic sign recognition technology.

Powering the Attitude is a 1.5-liter engine with 168 horsepower (125 kW / 170 PS) and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque. It is expected to be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
