**Ford E-Transit Gets Upgrades for European Market**
Ford has recently made enhancements to the E-Transit electric van for the European market. These updates include increased AC and DC charging speeds, as well as an extended range model that can travel up to 250 miles on a single charge. With 19 different variants available in Europe, Ford is catering to a wide range of customer needs.
**Enhanced Range and Charging Capabilities**
The new E-Transit extended range model comes equipped with a standard 89 kWh battery pack, offering a 28% increase in range compared to the standard model. This extended range is ideal for fleets operating in rural areas, colder climates, and on highways. Additionally, the AC charging speed has been doubled to 22 kW, allowing for a full charge in under six hours. The DC fast charging capability has also been improved to 180 kW, providing up to 72 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
**Additional Features**
In addition to the improved range and charging capabilities, the E-Transit extended range model comes with a heat pump for efficient cabin heating in cold conditions. It also includes features such as a 5G modem, wireless software updates, an AI assistant, and Delivery Assist technology to streamline operations.
**Variety of Options**
European customers have a wide selection of E-Transit variants to choose from, including vans and chassis cab models. The Ford Pro Power Onboard system allows for power tools and equipment to be powered by the battery pack. Ford has also introduced two-year/unlimited distance service intervals for added convenience.
**New Electric Minibus Conversion**
A notable addition to the lineup is a factory-supported electric minibus conversion for the E-Transit, designed for taxi companies, schools, and local authorities. This conversion can accommodate up to 15 passengers and will be available through Ford dealers.
