New Hyundai Santa Fe and Facelifted Tucson Spotted in Gibraltar | Giga Gears

Hyundai Set to Release Facelifted Tucson and All-New Santa Fe SUVs

Hyundai is continuing its facelift spree with the upcoming updated version of the Tucson compact SUV. A heavily camouflaged prototype was recently spotted in Gibraltar by one of our readers, Stephen. In addition, Stephen also came across the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe flaunting its boxy shape in a parking lot.

The current fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson is already three years old, and a facelifted model is expected to debut later this year. Despite its futuristic styling still looking fresh, Hyundai designers will likely apply mild visual updates, focusing on tweaked bumpers and fresh LED graphics.

The prototype spotted by our reader featured the traditional zebra-style camouflage wrap and a second layer of covers, leaving us guessing about the exact changes. Interestingly, the SUV was parked next to a Hyundai Staria minivan in Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory on the southern coast of Spain.

On the other hand, Stephen also spotted another Hyundai SUV fresh out of the oven, this time without any sign of camouflage. The all-new fifth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe was parked in a similar parking lot, despite European deliveries being scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2024 (the model is already available in Korea).

The pictured example of the new Santa Fe came with covered Hyundai emblems. The Santa Fe, which formally debuted last month, is characterized by a larger and significantly boxier exterior compared to its predecessor, although it is more aerodynamic. Similar to the smaller Tucson, the Santa Fe will be available with petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid powertrains depending on the market.

It’s worth noting that both the facelifted Tucson and the all-new Santa Fe are part of Hyundai’s strategy to make boxy designs cool again. SUVs have become increasingly popular, but they often lack the sporty and rugged appeal that boxy designs can offer. Hyundai, along with other automakers like Jeep, aims to bring back the charm of boxy SUVs.

The spy shots captured by Stephen provide a glimpse into what we can expect from these upcoming Hyundai SUVs. The Tucson is likely to receive subtle updates to its exterior, enhancing its modern and futuristic appearance. Meanwhile, the Santa Fe showcases a bolder and more muscular design, emphasizing its presence on the road.

Hyundai has been making significant strides in the SUV market, with models like the Tucson and Santa Fe gaining popularity among consumers. These upcoming facelifted and all-new versions are expected to further strengthen Hyundai’s position in the competitive SUV segment.

As for the powertrain options, Hyundai has been focusing on offering a range of choices to cater to different customer preferences. The Tucson and Santa Fe are expected to come with petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options, providing a balance between performance and fuel efficiency.

In conclusion, Hyundai is set to release the facelifted Tucson and the all-new Santa Fe SUVs in the near future. These models will feature updated designs and a range of powertrain options to meet the diverse needs of SUV enthusiasts. With their modern styling and advanced features, the facelifted Tucson and all-new Santa Fe are poised to make a strong impact in the SUV market. Keep an eye out for their official debut and get ready to experience the next generation of Hyundai SUVs.
