Introducing the New MG HS: Bold Design and Power Options

MG has unveiled the second generation of its popular HS SUV at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed. The new model boasts a bold new look and offers customers the choice between pure-petrol or plug-in hybrid power options. With prices starting at just £24,995 for the petrol version and £31,495 for the PHEV model, the new MG HS is set to undercut many competitors in its class.

Powering the standard petrol engine is an improved 168bhp output, while the PHEV model sees a significant upgrade with an estimated combined output exceeding 300bhp. The PHEV version features an upsized 24.7kWh battery, providing an impressive 75-mile electric range and attracting a BIK tax rate of just 5%.

The new MG HS showcases a complete styling overhaul, with increased dimensions for a more athletic silhouette. Inside, the SUV features dual 12.3-inch screens with smartphone mirroring, enhanced switchgear, improved material quality, and increased space. The boot capacity has also been expanded to 507 litres.

All variants of the new MG HS come with a seven-year/80,000-mile warranty and a generous standard equipment list that includes a rear parking camera, keyless entry, and a six-way adjustable driver’s seat.
