With only 77 units being produced, the Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport is a highly exclusive model. Its official presentation is scheduled for October 28th at Rennsport Reunion, a renowned gathering of Porsche enthusiasts. This track-focused sports car comes in two versions, each with different specifications based on racetrack noise regulations. Customers can choose between an unsilenced version and two silenced versions with catalytic converters.

Powering the Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport is a 4.2-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, similar to the one found in the 911 GT3 R. However, this engine has undergone several efficiency tweaks to boost its power output from 557bhp to an impressive 611bhp. Its redline has also been increased to 9400rpm, and its top speed now reaches 196mph. With an output of 148bhp per liter, this naturally aspirated engine sets a new record for a GT racing car. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.

The bumper-width rear wing takes inspiration from the Daytona-winning Brumos Porsche 935/77, while the vertical spoiler supports resemble those of the Porsche 962 Le Mans racer. To reduce weight, certain panels and grille covers have been omitted, leaving components like the exhaust exposed.

Inside the Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport, weight-saving measures continue with the removal of the front and rear passenger seats and the air conditioning system. The car features a plaque denoting the chosen model number, two monitors replacing the door mirrors, color-adjustable ambient lighting, and an FIA-spec roll cage.

Customers can choose from seven different colors for their Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport, including Star Ruby, Signal Orange, and Agate Grey Metallic. Additionally, three liveries are available: Rennsport Reunion Design, Flacht Design, and Speed Icon Design.

Underneath its striking exterior, the Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport shares its chassis with the GT3 R model. It features double wishbones at the front, a multi-link setup at the rear, and five-way adjustable shock absorbers. Customers receive a bespoke basic setup but can make further adjustments before racing.
