In the competitive mid-sized family EV market, Nissan has unveiled its latest offering – the Nissan Ariya. With a wide range of models to choose from, buyers now have more options than ever before. The Ariya stands out with its unique blend of crossover and SUV features, setting it apart from its rivals.

Among the diverse range of electric crossovers in the market, the Ariya finds itself in good company. The Tesla Model Y and Model 3 prioritize range, performance, and efficiency, while the Audi Q4 offers a sleek and tech-heavy alternative. The Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60 represent the Korean trio, and there are also coupé-SUVs like the Volkswagen ID 4 and Ford Mustang Mach E. With such tough competition, where does the Ariya fit in?

Nissan took its time to carefully plan and expand its lineup of zero-emission vehicles, with an 11-year gap between the Ariya and the Nissan Leaf. Since its launch in 2022, the Ariya has quietly made its mark. However, Nissan has big plans for the future, with a Nismo variant expected to be released by the end of 2024. To stay ahead of the competition from Europe, China, and America, the company has also introduced two new trim lines.

The Ariya is available in four trim levels, offering two battery options and a choice between a single-motor front-wheel-drive or a more powerful twin-motor four-wheel-drive layout. The entry-level Engage trim offers basic features such as fabric seats, LED headlights, and safety-based features. The mid-level Advance trim adds synthetic leather seats with fabric inserts, a hands-free tailgate, heated front seats, and a surround-view camera with an ‘Intelligent’ rear-view mirror. The Evolve trim includes most of the features of the Advance, but with plusher leather and suede seats, a panoramic roof, and ventilated and heated front seats. The range-topping Evolve+ trim offers the same features as the Evolve, but with larger 20-inch wheels and blue nappa leather seats.

With its competitive pricing and impressive range of features, the Nissan Ariya is set to make a strong impression in the mid-sized family EV market. Whether you’re looking for a practical and efficient crossover or a stylish and tech-heavy SUV, the Ariya has something to offer. Stay tuned for the release of the Nismo variant and experience the future of electric vehicles with Nissan.
