Nissan’s Success Story

The latest success stories in Nissan’s lineup are the Versa and Sentra. The Sentra saw a 55% increase in sales, while the Versa outperformed with a 61.7% uptick.

Factors Driving Sales

Nissan’s strategy of offering cars below MSRP may have contributed to the sales boost. Dealers were allowed to advertise vehicles up to 10% below invoice, potentially attracting more buyers.

Product Performance

While the Nissan Leaf experienced a decline in sales, the Ariya crossover SUV reported a significant increase of 79.9%. The Z sportscar also saw a notable rise of 50.8%. However, models like the Murano and Armada faced drops in sales, indicating changing consumer preferences.

Sales Data

In Q2-24, Nissan’s total sales slightly decreased by 2.3%, but the company saw an overall increase of 3.0% in year-to-date sales. Specific models like the Versa, Sentra, and Z showed strong growth, while others like the Maxima and GT-R experienced declines.
