Nissan’s Ambitious Plans for the AMIEO Region

The Arc Business Plan Overview

Nissan recently unveiled “The Arc” business plan for 2024-2026, bridging the gap between its previous NEXT plan and the long-term Ambition 2030 vision. The focus is on the AMIEO region, which includes Africa, the Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania.

New Models and Sales Targets

Nissan aims to increase its annual sales by 1 million units, with 300,000 units expected from the AMIEO region. Globally, the brand will introduce 16 new electrified and 14 ICE vehicles. Specifically for AMIEO, Nissan plans to launch five EVs and six new ICE models, including a crossover version of the next-generation Leaf.

European Expansion

Europe will play a significant role in Nissan’s electrification strategy, with over 40% of sales expected to be BEVs by 2026. The Sunderland plant in the UK will start producing new EVs with AC bi-directional capabilities. European customers can look forward to five new Nissan EVs in the next two years.

Indian and African Markets

In India, Nissan will introduce three new models and target sales of 95,000 units in 2026, a substantial increase from previous years. The company also plans to expand its presence in Africa and launch its first EV in South Africa by 2026.

Regional Focus

The Middle East will receive five new SUV models, while Oceania will see four new models and additional electric vehicles. A highlight is the next-generation Navara co-developed with Mitsubishi.

With these ambitious plans, Nissan is set to make a significant impact in the AMIEO region and beyond.
