Pagani has unveiled the Utopia Roadster, the latest addition to its lineup. This convertible version of the V12-powered hypercar features both a hard top and a soft top, and remarkably, it weighs the same as the coupe.
Identical Weight for Coupe and Roadster
Unlike most roadsters that are typically heavier than their closed-roof counterparts, Pagani claims that both versions of the Utopia weigh the same at 1,280 kg (2,822 pounds). This achievement is possible due to the joint development of the two variants, which share the same monocoque chassis and offer identical performance.
Convertible Features
The Utopia Roadster retains the coupe’s distinctive design, including the sculpted rear deck and butterfly doors. Inside, Pagani has added new floor mats with a texture reminiscent of an outboard boat. The key has also been updated to reflect the open-top silhouette of the vehicle.
Customization Options and Performance
Pagani offers a range of customization options for the Utopia Roadster, including the optional Sport Pack configuration. This particular display car showcases an exposed carbon Habanero Red finish and features Aeroblade carbon deflectors on the wheels.
Under the hood, the Utopia Roadster is powered by an AMG-sourced twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 852 hp (635 kW / 864 PS) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed Xtrac gearbox, available in both automatic and manual versions.
The hypercar also benefits from active suspension and the innovative Pirelli Cyber Tyre sensor system. This technology communicates tire information to the vehicle’s stability control and traction control systems, enhancing overall performance.
Limited Production and Pricing
The Pagani Utopia Roadster will make its debut during the Monterey Car Week. Only 130 units of this exclusive model will be produced, with a price tag starting at €3.10 million ($3.35 million) before taxes.
