Peugeot 3008: A New Crossover with Mild-Hybrid Petrol Technology

The new Peugeot 3008 has been making waves with its electric vehicle (EV) version, but let’s not forget about the alternative option that doesn’t rely on E-numbers. Priced at £11,200 less and significantly lighter, the standard Peugeot 3008 deserves some attention of its own.

While the EV version takes the spotlight, the standard Peugeot 3008 is a mild hybrid that combines Peugeot’s well-known three-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol engine with an integrated electric motor in a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. This hybrid model is set to hit the UK market in September, approximately six months after the launch of the e-3008.

Despite the arrival of this more affordable model, it is expected that the e-3008 will continue to dominate sales due to its EV capabilities. Nonetheless, the standard Peugeot 3008 offers a compelling option for those who prefer a mild-hybrid petrol technology.
