“Pirelli and BMW Team Up for New 7-Series Winter Tire”

Pirelli and BMW Introduce New Winter Tire for 7-Series and i7

Collaboration for Enhanced Winter Performance

BMW and Pirelli have joined forces to develop a cutting-edge winter tire specifically designed for the latest 7-Series and i7 models. The 20-inch Pirelli P Zero Winter 2 tire is engineered to deliver exceptional winter performance while also offering low rolling resistance to extend the range of electric vehicles like the BMW i7. This innovative tire will also be available on other BMW models, starting with the X3 later this year.

Focus on Tire Technology

While new cars often emphasize features like advanced technology and powerful engines, the importance of tires should not be overlooked. The collaboration between automakers and tire manufacturers plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall performance and safety of vehicles. Performance cars, in particular, benefit from specialized tire compounds developed through partnerships like Michelin and Porsche, Yokohama and Mazda, and Continental and Mercedes.

Introducing the Pirelli P Zero Winter 2

The Pirelli P Zero Winter 2 represents a unique collaboration between Pirelli and BMW to create a tire that excels in winter driving conditions. With a focus on wet and snowy performance, this tire also boasts low rolling resistance properties ideal for electric vehicles. The “A class” rating for rolling resistance ensures an extended range of up to 31 miles when fitted on the BMW i7.

Commitment to Sustainability

In addition to performance and safety, BMW and Pirelli have prioritized sustainability in the development of the P Zero Winter 2 tire. By incorporating renewable materials and reducing CO2 emissions in their manufacturing processes, both companies are working towards a more environmentally friendly future.
