Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 Arrives in Australia in Striking Verde Abete Color
One of just two examples of the limited-run Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 being delivered in Australia has just touched down in Melbourne. Each of the 112 examples being built are special but the configuration of this car makes it particularly dramatic.
A Striking Exterior
Adorning the exterior of the car is a color that Lamborghini dubs Verde Abete. The Italian brand offers plenty of bright shades of green but it appears as though this is the only current Lamborghini available in this color. Research shows that there were a handful of original Countach models painted in this same color and one of them just so happens to reside in Australia.
The car’s green paint is contrasted with a set of bronze-colored wheels with a matte finish and a retro-inspired spoke design. These wheels sit over a set of black brake calipers biting down on carbon ceramic discs. A Countach LPI 800-4 with the same exterior configuration was delivered in Canada last year.
Elegant Interior Design
However, whereas that Canadian car had an orange leather interior, the leather of this model is a more subtle shade of tan. The leather extends across the seats, the transmission tunnel, door panels, and even the headliner, all while being contrasted with black stitching and piping. The Lamborghini badge has also been stitched into the headrests.
Powerful Performance
The Countach LPI 800-4 shares most of its mechanical components with the Sian, which itself borrows a lot of technology from the regular Aventador. This means the Countach is driven by a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 complemented with a small electric motor and a supercapacitor. It delivers a combined 803 hp and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque.
Exclusive Pricing
Lamborghini never officially publicized an Australian price for the Countach LPI 800-4. However, it has been suggested that each of the two models heading Down Under likely cost around AU$5 million ($3.21 million), enough to buy five Aventadors.
