The Rare and Unique 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Edition Up for Auction

Introduction

One of the most exceptional 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder models ever produced is set to go under the hammer at Gooding & Company’s auction this week. This rare vehicle is expected to fetch up to $3 million, a significant increase from the typical selling price range of $1.6 million to $1.9 million for most 918s in recent years.

The Story Behind the 918 Spyder

This particular 918 Spyder is one of only 28 units allocated for the Canadian market and one of two ordered by its original owner. The collector had a unique vision for his cars, requesting a Gulf Oil racing livery that Porsche initially declined due to the lack of an official partnership. However, after securing permission from Gulf Oil himself, Porsche agreed to build the two cars with slight variations in their design elements.

Key Features and Specifications

Unlike other 918s with racing liveries that use vinyl wraps, this model features a custom paint job. It also comes equipped with the optional Weissach package, a front-axle lift system, carbon fiber mats with Gulf Orange detailing, a matching set of luggage, a Burmester Surround Sound system, and six-point racing harnesses.

Numbered 325 out of the 918 units produced, this car boasts unique interior touches such as orange piping and stitching on the black leather seats and an embossed Gulf pattern on the headrests. Despite its rarity and special features, the vehicle has only been driven 376 miles (605 km) since it was new.

Don’t Miss Out on This Exclusive Opportunity

If you’re a discerning collector or enthusiast looking to own a piece of automotive history, this 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Edition is a must-have. With its distinctive design, limited production numbers, and impeccable condition, this vehicle is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.
