Rimac Nevera R

Introduction

Rimac has launched the Nevera R, a handling-focused variant of the electric hypercar. With only 40 units available, the Nevera R offers increased power, improved handling, and enhanced aerodynamics.

Enhanced Performance

The Nevera R features a quad-motor powertrain that delivers a total of 1,989 horsepower, an increase of 100 horsepower from the base model. The acceleration time from 0-186 mph (300 km/h) is reduced from 9.22 to 8.66 seconds. The car is equipped with sticky Michelin Cup 2 tires, additional negative camber, and extra downforce, resulting in a 10% reduction in understeer.

Limited Production and Pricing

Production of the Nevera R is limited to just 40 units, making it an exclusive and rare hypercar. The price of the Nevera R is set at €2.3 million ($2.53 million) plus taxes, making it more expensive than the base model.

Improved Handling and Aerodynamics

The Nevera R features 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. The carbon brakes have been upgraded with a silicone matrix layer, and the torque-vectoring software has been modified. The car also has a fixed rear wing and a new diffuser, resulting in a 15% increase in downforce and a 10% improvement in aerodynamic efficiency. The amount of negative camber has been increased to reduce understeer by 10%. These enhancements contribute to a 3.8-second reduction in the lap time at Porsche’s Nardo test track.

Conclusion

The Rimac Nevera R offers a more focused and exhilarating driving experience compared to the base model. With its limited production and enhanced performance, the Nevera R is set to attract wealthy enthusiasts looking for a unique and thrilling electric hypercar.
