**Rivian Aims to Break Pikes Peak Record with 2025 R1T Quad-Motor**

Rivian is gearing up to challenge its own production pickup truck record at the upcoming Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The 2025 R1T Quad-Motor, boasting an impressive acceleration time of less than 2.5 seconds to reach 60 mph, is set to take on the treacherous mountain roads.

In the 2023 event, Rivian set a benchmark with the R1T completing the course in just over 11 minutes. The updated 2025 model now packs a whopping 1,025 hp and 1,198 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach a top speed of 130 mph.

Gardner Nichols, Rivian’s Senior Performance Test Engineer, expressed his excitement about piloting the R1T at Pikes Peak. He highlighted the importance of torque control with the Quad-Motor system for maximizing performance on the challenging terrain.
