Rolls-Royce Dubai’s First Project: Bespoke Extended Ghost

Rolls-Royce’s popularity in the Middle East has led to the opening of its first Private Office outside the UK in Dubai. The concept of the Private Office is to bring together clients, designers, and engineers to create bespoke builds. The Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended is described as the “ideal blank canvas” for such commissions, either in standard, extended wheelbase, or Black Badge form. Less than a year after the inauguration, the first bespoke commission is ready, based on the Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended.

The latest commission is a Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended painted in a two-tone Sunrise Sparkle and White Sands. The two-tone livery is joined by a hand-painted Coachline in Moccasin and the illuminated Pantheon Grille. The exterior theme was inspired by “the magic of the Middle Eastern sunrise and the mystery of the Arabian sands”. For the interior upholstery, the client chose Grace White and Moccasin colors, with the signature Starlight Headliner and a matching star-embedded dashboard on the front passenger side. Finally, an illuminated plate reads: “Hand built in Goodwood, England, for Dubai Private Office”.

There are no mechanical changes, which means that the twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12 makes 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque, sending power to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic. Like all of the models in the current Rolls-Royce lineup, the Ghost is based on the “Architecture of Luxury” aluminum spaceframe and comes standard with sophisticated electronically controlled air suspension resulting in the fabled Magic Carpet Ride.

Rolls-Royce plans to open more Private Office locations around the world in the near future, joining the main one in its central Goodwood premises and the one in Dubai. This way, more clients will gain access to the same vehicle-personalizing experience without the need to travel to the UK.
