“Smart #5 Electric SUV with 637bhp | Giga Gears”

Introducing the New Smart #5 Electric SUV: Power and Performance Unleashed

The Smart brand has unveiled its largest and most powerful model yet – the Smart #5. With a staggering 637bhp output in its top-rung guise, this electric SUV is set to rival the likes of the Volkswagen ID 4 and Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.

Powerful Performance

The Smart #5 boasts more power than its smaller siblings, the #1 and #3 crossovers, and even outperforms the Kia EV6 GT. Equipped with twin motors, this SUV is expected to accelerate from 0-62mph in under 3.0 seconds.

Variety of Options

In addition to the top-rung twin-motor version, there will be a less potent twin-motor option with 579bhp, as well as two single-motor, rear-driven models with 335bhp or 358bhp. The SUV will offer both LFP and lithium-ion batteries, with capacities exceeding 100kWh for long-range capabilities.

Impressive Dimensions

Measuring 4705mm long, 1920mm wide, and 1705mm tall, the Smart #5 is comparable in size to the Peugeot 5008. While it seats five passengers, its design remains true to the concept’s blocky proportions with a more urban-focused aesthetic.

Future Outlook

Originally slated for a 2025 UK release with an estimated starting price of £35,000, uncertainties surrounding new tariffs on Chinese-made EVs in Europe may impact the Smart #5’s export potential. Owned jointly by Mercedes and Geely, Smart manufactures its vehicles in Xi’an.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Smart #5 as it prepares to revolutionize the electric SUV market with its cutting-edge technology and performance capabilities.
