Stellantis Dealers Demand Changes After Sales Disaster

Stellantis Dealers Seek CEO’s Help to Boost Sales

Stellantis dealers are reaching out to the company’s CEO for assistance in improving sales that have been on a downward trend. Despite a 2.2 percent growth in the overall market, Stellantis experienced a 16 percent decline in sales in the first half of 2024.

Dealers’ Concerns

Dealers have raised concerns about the inadequate allocation of certain models and are eager to discuss pricing strategies with the leadership team. The National Dealer Council Chairman, Kevin Farrish, highlighted the need for urgent action to address the challenges faced by Stellantis dealers.

Meeting with Leadership

Following a meeting between dealers, CEO Carlos Tavares, and Stellantis North America COO Carlos Zarlenga, improvements have been made in accessing popular SUV models like the Grand Cherokee and Wrangler. Additionally, price cuts of up to $4,000 on the Grand Cherokee and discounts on other vehicles have been implemented to enhance competitiveness in the market.

Future Plans

Stellantis is planning to introduce new models across its brands in the coming years to fill gaps left by discontinued vehicles. The lineup will include electric and combustion versions of popular models like the Charger, a Chrysler EV, and the Jeep Recon and electric Wagoneer S.

Overall, Stellantis dealers are optimistic about the changes being made to address their concerns and are hopeful for a turnaround in sales performance in the near future.
