Stellantis Issues Three Recalls for Jeep and RAM Vehicles

Jeep Grand Cherokees Steering Knuckle Recall

Stellantis has announced three new recalls, two of which are for Jeep vehicles and one for RAM vehicles, affecting over 350,000 vehicles across various model years. The largest recall involves a steering knuckle issue that could cause the wheel to fall outward from the vehicle.

Jeep Grand Cherokees Recall 24V-132

The recall affects 338,238 Jeep Grand Cherokees from 2021 to 2023. The problem lies with the pinch bolt that attaches the upper control arm to the steering knuckle, which could separate, leading to greatly diminished steering capabilities. Jeep is recalling all affected vehicles to address the issue, with only one percent of the SUVs expected to have the problem.

Jeep Grand Cherokees Auto High Beam Headlamp Controller Recall

Another recall involves 9,433 Jeep Grand Cherokees from 2023 and 2024 due to an issue with the auto high beam headlamp controller. When set to Auto, the vehicle may not illuminate the high beams when requested. Jeep will update the software in these vehicles to resolve the problem.

RAM Promaster Seat Belt Switch Sense Magnet Recall

The third recall pertains to the RAM Promaster from 2022 and 2023, with approximately one percent of the 27,744 vehicles recalled potentially having a faulty seat belt switch sense magnet. This issue could incorrectly indicate that the driver is not wearing a seat belt when they are. Owners can check their VIN number on NHTSA.gov or contact their local dealer for more information.
