All-New Midsize Truck and More

The document confirms previous reports of an all-new midsize truck that will be produced at the recently closed Belvidere plant. It reveals that this truck is scheduled for release in calendar year 2027, with an estimated production volume of around 100,000 units. To put this into perspective, Jeep sold approximately 42,000 Gladiators in the first three quarters of this year.

Next-Generation Wrangler and Gladiator

The document also provides insights into the future of the current Wrangler and Gladiator models. Both vehicles will continue production until 2028, with a planned plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) upgrade in 2025. The next-generation Wrangler is expected to offer a fully electric variant (BEV) and a range-extender variant (REPB) when it debuts. Stellantis internally refers to the REPB as the “Range Electric Paradigm Breaker.”

Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer Updates

The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models will continue production until 2028, with a refresh planned for 2025. In that same year, a BEV variant will be introduced, followed by another refresh in 2027. Stellantis aims to keep these models competitive in the market.

Ram Trucks and Durango Plans

The document mentions that the DS-code Ram 1500 pickup truck (also known as the Ram Classic) may be discontinued after 2024. However, a mid-cycle update is scheduled for the DT-code Ram 1500 in the same year, along with the introduction of BEV and REPB models. The Detroit Assembly plant will continue producing the Durango until 2024, after which new internal combustion engine (ICE) and BEV models under the Durango name will be developed.

Additionally, two-row and three-row Grand Cherokees are planned until 2027 and 2028, respectively, with mid-cycle updates expected next year.
