Subaru Continues Year-Over-Year Sales Growth

Subaru of America is celebrating its 25th consecutive month of yearly month-over-month sales growth. In August 2024, Subaru sold 63,053 vehicles, marking an 11.8% increase from the previous year’s 56,407 units. Year-to-date sales have also risen by 6.4% to 437,198 units, compared to 410,888 units at the same time last year.

Popular Models and Declining Sales

While Subaru’s overall sales have been strong, some models have experienced declines. The WRX, Legacy, Impreza, BRZ, and Ascent have all seen a decrease in sales this year.

Subaru Crosstrek Leads Sales Growth

The Subaru Crosstrek has been a key contributor to the brand’s growth. Sales of the Crosstrek spiked by 46.5% in August, with 20,396 units sold compared to 13,920 units in the previous year. Year-to-date, Crosstrek sales have increased by 13.8% to 115,214 units.

Outlook and Future Growth

Despite the decline in sales for some models, Subaru remains optimistic about its future. The president and chief operating officer of Subaru of America, Jeff Walters, expressed gratitude to Subaru retailers for their dedication and emphasized the importance of customer satisfaction in maintaining growth.
