After repairs by German energy network firm E.ON, power was restored to the Tesla factory on March 11. The company gradually restarted systems and resumed production on Wednesday, according to local reports.

Costly Disruption and CEO Visit

The disruption in production is estimated to have cost Tesla hundreds of millions of euros in damages. CEO Elon Musk is expected to visit the site this week to assess the situation and provide guidance.

Planned Expansion and Environmental Concerns

Tesla’s factory near Berlin has faced criticism for its planned expansion, which involves doubling production to 1 million vehicles annually. However, this expansion requires cutting down parts of a nearby forest, raising concerns about its impact on local water supplies.
