As we approach the year 2025, Toyota has already given us a glimpse of what’s to come with the unveiling of the new 2024 Camry. This iconic sedan will be shedding its powerful V6 engine in favor of hybrid power, enhanced technology, and top-of-the-line safety features. The 2024 Camry is set to hit the market in the spring of 2024.

A Next-Generation Car for the U.S. Market

Toyota introduced the 2024 Camry at the Los Angeles Auto Show, emphasizing that its development and manufacturing are driven by the U.S. market. While initially expected to be a mid-cycle refresh, the Camry received a more substantial update, earning the title of the next-generation car.

Powerful Performance and All-Wheel Drive Capability

The new Camry is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, delivering up to 232 system horsepower in the all-wheel drive variant. This represents a 30-horsepower increase compared to the gas-only model. Additionally, all trims of the 2024 Camry now offer all-wheel drive, thanks to a rear-axle-mounted electric motor.

Sleek Design and Enhanced Features

The updated Camry showcases functional aerodynamic bodywork, standard 18-inch wheels, and a redesigned rear end featuring a new spoiler and exhaust design. Higher trims come with 19-inch wheels, and Toyota offers a range of exterior color options to choose from.

Inside the Camry, you’ll find standard synthetic leather upholstery, with various color options available depending on the trim level. The sporty SE and XSE trims feature sport pedals and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the XSE offers a TRD-inspired red interior theme.

Advanced Technology and Safety

The Camry comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen as standard, with higher-end configurations offering a 12.3-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless charging, USB-A and USB-C ports, and Bluetooth connectivity. Over-the-air updates and a range of connected app services are also available.

In terms of safety, Toyota has loaded the new Camry with standard features such as blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This package includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warnings, and more. While crash test results for the 2024 Camry are not yet available, its predecessor earned a Top Safety Pick+ rating, indicating similar expectations for the new model.
