The battery has a capacity of 12.4kWh and provides an electric-only range of 42-45 miles.

While the official figures suggest impressive electric range, our experience with the hatchback version of the Astra PHEV indicates that real-world electric range may be slightly lower, especially in colder weather conditions. It’s important for potential buyers to consider their charging capabilities before opting for the PHEV variant, as the pure-petrol version is not only lighter and cheaper but also more economical.
