Volkswagen Unveils Unique ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice Tribute Model
Introduction
Volkswagen has unveiled the ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice, a one-off model created in partnership with fashion brand Bogner. This unique vehicle pays tribute to the iconic Golf Fire and Ice from the 1990s.
Distinctive Design
The ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice features a stunning Electric Violet exterior, which is a modern interpretation of the original special edition’s paint job. The hatch’s appearance varies between dark blue, violet, and black, depending on lighting conditions. Flaming Red accents and matte graphics add a touch of sportiness to the design. The car rides on 21-inch wheels with blue anodized flourishes.
Interior Details
While the original Golf Fire and Ice had a Neapolitan-like interior, the ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice takes a different approach. It features black seats with Flaming Red or Ice Blue accents, inspired by Bogner down jackets. The zippered centers reveal a Fire+Ice logo and upholstery that mimics the original car’s design. The vehicle also boasts special floor mats and unique stainless steel pedals with Fire and Ice graphics.
Impressive Performance
The ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice is based on the ID.3 GTX Performance model, equipped with a rear-mounted motor producing 322 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque. This electric vehicle can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 124 mph. Its 79 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a WLTP range of up to 373 miles, and a 185 kW DC fast charger can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in only 26 minutes.
