The latest version of the Zeekr 001 has been launched in China with a range of new features and improvements. The most exciting news is that the starting price has been reduced by approximately 10%, making it more accessible to local buyers.

Price and Variants

Buyers can now purchase the new Zeekr 001 for as low as 269,000 yuan (~$37,400), down from the previous starting price of 300,000 yuan ($41,674). The model is available in two variants: a rear-wheel drive model with 416 hp and a 100 kWh NMC battery offering up to 750 km (466 miles) of range, and a four-wheel drive model with a 95 kWh LFP battery providing 675 km (419 miles) of range. Additionally, the ME 4WD 100 kWh version is priced at 299,000 yuan (~$41,600) and the YOU 4WD 100 kWh variant starts at 329,000 yuan (~$45,800).

Technical Upgrades

The 2024 Zeekr 001 boasts an 800-volt architecture and rapid charging capabilities. The LFP battery can charge from 10-80% in just 11.5 minutes, while the NMC pack takes 15 minutes for the same charge. The model also supports V2V charging of up to 60 kW.

Performance and Design Enhancements

All models now come equipped with a powerful 416 hp rear electric motor and a 362 hp front motor for all-wheel drive versions. This upgrade allows the 4WD models to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.3 seconds. Visually, the standard Zeekr 001 has been revamped to exude a more aggressive look similar to the high-performance 001 FR. The interior has also been updated with new digital displays, an advanced audio system, and a color-changing panoramic glass roof.

Additional Features

Other notable features of the new Zeekr 001 include a double-chamber air suspension system, an electric tow hitch capable of towing up to 2 tons, and the latest semi-autonomous driving functions offered for free to early buyers until March 31.

With these enhancements and a more competitive price point, the Zeekr 001 is set to make a significant impact in the Chinese electric vehicle market.
